She is genuinely committed to assisting individuals in developing a compassionate view toward the self. She also believes in building a strong relationship between the mind and the body and is passionate about helping individuals to identify, feel, and express a wide range of emotional experiences.
Melissa works collaboratively with clients to uncover deep issues that may be preventing them from living the life they desire. She will help you to slowly unravel the different threads in your life, all while gently working with your attachment system and historical traumas. Melissa is a holistic practitioner always accounts for all aspects of the individual’s context in the therapeutic relationship. When appropriate, she provides psycho-educational information on mental health and its effect on relationships with self and others. Her client’s often report that understanding why they are feeling certain feelings and where these are rooted, is a helpful step in creating a new path forward.
